The challenge: “Help us make a mixer—but OXO-style!” 

What design revealed: With most mixers, it’s hard to see the magic that’s happening in the bowl. Many home kitchens are surprisingly dimly lit, and the elderly and people with impaired eyesight struggle to see what they’re whipping up. 

Introducing… a hand-mixer with a built-in flashlight feature that feels unmistakably OXO. As my own grandma said during testing, “The light is wonderful and really helps!” Our team at Smart Design also received nice write-ups from PopSugar and Rachel Ray Mag.
