The challenge: How do we help solve the plastic bottle problem while giving millennials a healthier alternative to soda?

What design revealed: After researching trends in beverage, our Smart Design team discovered an opportunity to help Pepsi tap into the growing Nalgene / Hydroflask / S’well culture. 

Introducing… a custom-designed personalized, portable, and most importantly—reusable—bottle that lets people magically recreate their favorite grab n’ go beverages whenever, and wherever. This meant squeezing a lot of flavor—Coconut Water Watermelon, Açaí, Pomegranate Ginger—into cute little recyclable pods.

I can’t stress enough: This was a transformative move for Pepsi! But it’s one that’s led to less plastic in the bin, fewer necessary shipping trucks, and a really satisfying way to quench your thirst.
